About Dalza: Helping your child thrive

Our Story

Hello, I’m Robby Coelho, the founder of Dalza.

As the father of an 11-year-old boy with a range of learning and thinking differences, I’ve been deeply immersed in the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) journey from the early days. It’s a path I walked myself in childhood, and sadly, it hasn’t changed much over the years.

Any parent of a neurodivergent child knows the mix of uncertainty, challenges, and the often-lonely road we walk alongside our children. I believe there’s a better way for my son, for our families, and for all neurodovidergent kids. We need a change, and I created Dalza to be part of that change.

Dalza was created with a deep commitment to empowering parents of neurodivergent children. While I might be the one who started it, there are many who made Dalza a reality – my son, my wife, my family, friends, and countless individuals who’ve offered their support and guidance.

Dalza tackles the real problems we face every day:

Managing mountains of information

Dealing with endless forms

Coordinating disjointed efforts of support teams

Keeping everyone updated and aligned

Staying on top of everything

It’s about taking the weight off our shoulders, easing the pressure of being our children’s sole advocates, and alleviating the constant worry if we’re doing enough.

In building Dalza, I didn’t just talk to other parents; I reached out to educators, clinicians, therapists – everyone who plays a vital role in our children’s lives. They all want change too, and their insights have been crucial in shaping Dalza. It’s not just a tool for families; it’s for the whole support team around the child.

And as a data protection and privacy lawyer with over 23 years’ legal experience, and the fact that I use Dalza to support my own child, I also know how important it is to ensure that our children’s information is adequately protected and only shared with the people who need that information.
